Any AC generator requires a magnetic field in the rotor. This is swept past the coils, and you can imagine the positive half cycle being produced by the North pole, and the negative by the South.

There are two ways of achieving this magnetic field:

With a permanent magnet in the rotor.
With an electromagnet in the rotor.
The electromagnet technique is the cheapest and most common. A multi-turn coil of wire is fed with DC.

So we need a way to get DC onto the rotor from outside, a rotating electrical connection. There are two ways to do that.

With slip-rings and brushes. DC is applied directly.
By mounting an auxilliary machine, often called a rotating transformer, on the same shaft,and applying AC. This AC , once on the rotating part of the machine, is rectified with a diode bridge to yield DC for the rotor.
Because the second technique requires no brushes, it is called brushless.

The main frame of the alternator and lead box are made of steel,the end cover is made of high strength cast iron.

The craft of our company use the standard of Stamford.All the workers should be trained for a long time.And we carry out the management of 6s.

6. Component

All the components of our factory,the stator,rotor and excitation will be dippinglacquer twice.This is a process that other factories never used.Because it would take much more electric charge,and make the insulated paint consume and loss twice,so it will increase the cost.What's more,all the components should be handled through the process of dampproof,salt and fog proof, anti-corrosion.
